Aurora is the Broadcast Production Partner to the UIM E1 World Championship, the world’s first all-electric raceboat series.
We produce the 90-minute live show for each event plus 1 hour of highlights and digital content, airing in over 100 countries worldwide, via over forty broadcaster channels.
The series, established to create a new, competitive on-water racing proposition which uses the power of sport for the purpose of advancing clean aquatic mobility, kicked off in Jeddah in early 2024 and has included stages in Venice, Puerto Banus, Monaco, Rotterdam, Dubrovnik, Miami and Hong Kong.
The UIM E1 World Championship has the backing of some of the biggest names in the sporting and entertainment world, with team owners including Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal, Didier Drogba, Steve Aoki, Sergio Perez, LeBron James and Virat Kohli.
Introducing a new sport to the market requires a dedication to storytelling that is the hallmark of Aurora productions.

Up to ten teams competed in the inaugural UIM E1 World Championship season, each battling it out to secure the coveted E1 title of Champions Of The Water. The teams will race using identical RaceBird boats during the first two seasons of the championship, with regulations being opened up in future seasons to allow teams and manufacturers to develop their own electric technologies.
Each team chooses two pilots to share driving duties throughout the event. The regulations set out by E1 and the UIM mandate each team to select a mixed-gender pilot line-up to ensure equal opportunities in the sport. The pilots will put their skills to the test using tight and technical racecourses located close to the shore.
E1 in just two seasons since launch in 2024 has established itself as a global sports property with a broadcast product to match. Collaboration has been key to the programme’s success. with multiple suppliers led by Aurora working in tight integration with the E1 team. The result is not just technically sound but also highly entertaining, with the sense of excitement and spectacle that a disruptive new sport needs.
RESULTS
Season 2 has already generated more than 265 million digital video views, 33 million broadcast views across the first five races of 2025, and 1.5 billion news clip views across global media outlets.
