OVERVIEW
Aurora was appointed Host Broadcast Partner for the inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup, the world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport World Cup, and the final Extreme E Desert X Prix.
Our MENA team ran the production on the ground. Utilising local staff, suppliers and other crew members to make this more regionally dependent, further reducing the carbon footprint of the production.
The FIA Extreme H World Cup represents a new frontier in motorsport, showcasing hydrogen fuel cell technology as a clean energy solution while promoting equality with male and female drivers in every team. The inaugural event took place in October 2025 in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia. This followed the Extreme E Final Lap Desert X Prix, which provided a fitting conclusion to the electric series before the baton passes to hydrogen.
The Desert X Prix marked the conclusion of five seasons of Extreme E, with the Final Lap celebrating the series’ innovation and legacy.
Aurora has been on an incredible journey with Extreme E from the very start, personally I’ve been privileged to witness the growth of the series at every race. As the Championship writes its next chapter, I’m delighted our Aurora MENA offices have the opportunity to support Ali and his amazing team across this unique content ecosystem.
